No change in the numbers.

How can that date be right? This month is flying by.

I continue to work on Traffic Jam blocks.

I finished one more after I took the picture, leaving three to go. I would love to finish the top this year, but I’m not sure it’s doable. I don’t sew much during the week.

Community Quilts from Jazz from Jo's Country Junction

Jazz was super busy. Many of you see the pictures and write-ups that finishers send but few of you know the trouble there sometimes can be in getting the write-up to me. Jazz was having computer issues…what a pain. We were both so thankful when everything finally worked and the pictures and write-up came to …

When you hear PLOP! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh boy—this paperwork is going to be the death of me! I spent the entire morning at the computer, and I swear the desktop doesn't look cleaner! Emails and phone calls got done, but I don't think any physical paper disappeared. I'll try again this morning, but I also have a lot of sewing/embroidery to do, and I need to be downstairs!

But any progress is progress, and we just keep moving forward. I tackled a few more CDs, and the pile is almost gone. What did I find? I found three photos that I ...

Murphy helps to declutter from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

As much as it was nice to be away and sew with friends, it's nice to be home and get back into the routine!

The Zooms went well, and there was lots of great show-and-tell, some of which I'll share later this week. Then, it was back to cleaning up the stuff.

I still had all this that needed to be put away. Again, it was slow and methodical. It's not enough to just shove it on a shelf. A lot of stuff needs to be dealt with, and if I don't do it properly, I ...

A balancing act from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm happy to report that my neck is feeling better. It's still sore, but it really only affects me when I first get up or when I put my head down, like on the pillow or lying on the floor to do my exercises. I just support my head, and all is good.

YES - I've been stretching with the foam roller before bed, and I'm feeling much better. I've barely scratched the surface of what I will get into with the new exercise regime. I''m pretty excited about it. It's the bloating in ...

FOCUS is key to success from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I've been learning so much about myself and how I function (or don't function). First, while I thought I was managing my stuff well, I wasn't. I was productive, yet I was struggling to meet deadlines. OK, I am productive, but I struggle with paperwork. And there are so many things to do.

The same is true for my quilting. There are just so many UFOs, kits, and other things.

I'm learning that focus seems to be a huge factor in making stuff happen. OK, so that's not rocket science at all. But when you ...

Weekly update: placemats + reading from With Strings Attached

On Friday I showed a photo of nine-patch blocks that I made out of the border fabric from the bingo board blocks.  I said I had no plan for them.  Well, they had plans for me -- and here is what happened.  The placemats will be donated to the guild for one of the agencies it supports.

Speaking of the guild, this week I need to make an ornament for the exchange at next week's holiday party. I also need to fill the gift box for which I made this runner.

Our Thanksgiving will be the two of us which ...

Friends from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

There is a bit of good news. I managed to get about 5 hours of sleep (with no drugs) - well, I had taken a Celebrex earlier in the afternoon. I felt much better than the previous day when I slept less. It helped that I was able to get 50 minutes of naptime once I came back from walking the dogs.

The worst part of the day is getting out of bed and waiting for that morning walk. Yes -- I could walk when I get up, but at 3 AM? A little bit of stretching, a little bit of muscle ...

Community Quilts from Ray from Jo's Country Junction

A bit ago Hurricane Milton swung past the Fort Myers area on its way north to the Sarasota/Bradenton area. Damage was primarily limited to coastal flooding. The call for help went out and I sent out 14 or so quilts to provide comfort and support to a few of the local organizations. A few days later …

Friday check in: Snowfall, estate sale, and bingo board with bonuses from With Strings Attached

We had 3" of wet snow yesterday.  It 's all melted on pavement and nearly all melted on grass, bushes, and trees.   Cloudy but dry today so I hope we can get a walk this afternoon.

Tuesday was month 13 of Barb M's estate sale.  Stevens went with me but I didn't get a photo.   The quantities are going way down.  Will the next sale in January be the last?  We shall see.

I paid $1.60 per yard this time.  Many pieces of Thimbleberries (Paintbox 2002).

Thank you for your compliments on the Bingo Board quilt I ...

This is Elle's blog too! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

LOL—I'll have to get Elle to write a list of her suggestions and post them on the blog! She's almost as popular as I am! Maybe we should ask her questions. Perhaps we can get her to give us her TOP TEN decluttering tips!

I have two questions. By the way, she worked full-time in the medical field for many years, so she wasn't sitting at home figuring out what to declutter next.

  1. Did she ever have clutter? And what about her SO?
  2. If so, when did the lightbulb go off for her?

As for the ...

Weekly update: bingo finish from With Strings Attached

It's been unusually warm this fall.  We haven't had a freeze yet, let alone a frost.  (I just looked up the definitions:   A frost is when ice crystals form on the outside of your plant. Frost can occur when the temperature is above 32F.....It’s a short event (usually happens right around dawn). A light frost happens when the ground is still warm enough to give off heat. A hard frost (also known as a killing frost) can occur when the ground temperature drops below 32F. A freeze, on the other hand, occurs when the temperature drops ...
